Marciello appointed test and reserve driver for the Sauber F1 Team
Maranello, 31 December – 2015 looks like being a particularly busy year for Raffaele Marciello, the Ferrari Driver Academy driver. A student with the Maranello organization since the year of its inception, Marciello has been chosen to be test and reserve driver next season by the Sauber F1 Team. Apart from his Formula 1 responsibilities, the Italian youngster, born in 1994, will continue to race in the GP2 series.
“I am really pleased to become a member of the Sauber F1 Team, which has a long term tradition in building up excellent drivers” commented Marciello. “I really think that this is the best choice for the future of my career. I am also happy to compete one more season in the GP2 Series, that together with my new F1 role, will give me a very busy 2015 season. I want to thank the Ferrari Driver Academy for giving me this important opportunity, and now I really can’t wait to start delivering my best.”

Marciello test driver e pilota di riserva per la Sauber F1 Team
Maranello, 31 dicembre – Sarà un anno particolarmente impegnativo il 2015 per Raffale Marciello, pilota della Ferrari Driver Academy scelto dalla Sauber F1 Team come test driver e pilota di riserva per la prossima stagione. Tra le fila del vivaio di Maranello dal suo anno di istituzione, il giovane italiano – classe 1994 – affiancherà questa nuova avventura in Formula 1 al rinnovato impegno nella GP2 Series.
“Sono davvero felice di entrare a far parte della Sauber F1 Team, una squadra che dall’inizio della sua storia ha saputo far crescere bravissimi piloti” ha dichiarato Marciello a margine dell’annuncio. “Credo che questa sia la scelta migliore per il mio futuro. Sono molto felice anche di disputare un’altra stagione in GP2 Series, sicuro che questo, insieme al mio nuovo ruolo in Formula 1, renderà il mio 2015 particolarmente impegnativo. Ringrazio la Ferrari Driver Academy per avermi dato questa importante opportunità, non vedo l’ora di mettermi all’opera e fare del mio meglio”.
