Things are getting serious!
This week, from Monday to Wednesday, Raffaele will be in Yas Marina to take part in the first official tests with his new GP2 team. Lello, who this year will race for the Trident team, has his sights set on bettering last season’s results (one victory and three podiums). After the tests, Lello’s week will be far from over: he will travel to Australia to make his F1 debut as Sauber’s third driver. “The next days will be wonderful and important” Lello explains. “After the winter break and all the changes that took place during the last few weeks, I am glad to be able to be back on the track. I know the GP2 well and I know exactly what’s waiting for me out there. I also can’t wait to be immersed in the F1 reality, which I’m getting to know better and better. I am focused and enthusiastic, and I want to enjoy every second of it. A second round of GP2 tests will take place at the beginning of April (1-3) in Bahrain.

Si comincia a fare sul serio!
Primi test ufficiali con il nuovo team di GP2 per Raffaele, impegnato lunedì, martedì e mercoledì sul circuito di Yas Marina. Come noto, Lello da quest’anno difenderà i colori del team Trident con l’obiettivo di compiere ulteriori progressi rispetto a quanto fatto nella passata stagione, chiusa con una vittoria e tre podi. Ma la settimana di Lello non finirà mercoledì, anzi: in effetti, si sposterà subito in Australia dove debutterà in Formula 1 nel ruolo di terzo pilota della Sauber. “Giorni importanti e bellissimi – spiega Lello – Dopo la pausa invernale e dopo tutti i cambiamenti che sono capitati nelle scorse settimane, sono felicissimo di poter tornare in pista. La GP2 la conosco bene e so esattamente cosa mi aspetta, per quanto concerne la F1 non vedo l’ora di toccare con mano una fantastica realtà che sto pian piano scoprendo. Voglio godermi ogni momento, concentrato al massimo ed entusiasta”. Per quanto concerne la GP2, una seconda tornata di test ufficiali è prevista a inizio aprile (1-2-3) nel Bahrain.
