MONZA RALLY SHOW 2019
MARCIELLO IMPRESSES IN HIS FIRST EVER RALLY EXPERIENCE

The Monza rally show is an event in which experienced rally drivers challenge “track” racers at the Autodromo di Monza, which is adapted and modified for the occasion. Marciello, who just finished his 2019 racing season, took part in the kermesse at the wheel of Team D-Max’s Citroen C3 R5. His copilot was none other than his manager, Alessandro Nolli Brianzi. During Wednesday’s free sessions, Raffaele was able to test the car – a model he never drove before – and to become familiar to handbrake turns and other “rally” manoeuvres which are obviously not his bread and butter. He fared much better in the fast sections of the track than in the turns and chicanes, where the rally boys showed their superiority. After two complicated “Special” sessions, Marciello imposed himself in the “Grand Prix” sessions and climbed back to tenth position (out of 60 participants) as the rally crowd gazed in wonder. Raffaele finished 12th, behind important names – drivers who compete in the World Rally Championship. Marciello’s car, moreover, was the best positioned Citroen in the standings, and was bettered only by the Skoda, Volkswagen and Hyundai that dominated the competition. All in all, it was a wonderful experience for Marciello, who once again demonstrated that he is able to adapt to any situation and style of driving with impressive ease.

MONZA RALLY SHOW 2019
