RAFFAELE MARCIELLO ON THE PODIUM IN THE SECOND ROUND OF THE NLS

Raffaele Marciello secured an overall third-place finish in the second round of the 2025 ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), the endurance series that serves as a lead-up to the legendary 24 Hours of the Nürburgring. At the ADAC Ruhrpott Trophy — a 4-hour race held at the historic Nordschleife circuit — the Zurich-born driver climbed to the third step of the podium after a strong comeback and well-managed race. Marciello competed with ROWE Racing in the top class, SP9 Pro, sharing the cockpit of the BMW M4 GT3 with teammates Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn, and Kelvin Van der Linde.

After getting reacquainted with the track during free practice, ROWE Racing’s #98 crew tackled qualifying, finishing in ninth place overall. At the start of the race, Marciello’s team immediately gained one position, holding onto eighth through the opening stages. Following the first round of pit stops, they continued their progress, reaching sixth place by the halfway point. After a further round of pit stops with 1 hour and 20 minutes to go, the ROWE Racing BMW pushed forward again, advancing to fourth and closing in on the podium. In a tense final-lap battle with a Porsche, the #98 car clinched third place, sealing an important podium finish. Marciello once again proved his skill on one of the world’s most demanding circuits — a strong result ahead of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, scheduled for the weekend of June 20–22.

Si è concluso con un terzo posto assoluto per Raffaele Marciello il secondo appuntamento dell’ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie 2025, la serie di durata che accompagnerà i protagonisti del mondo GT fino alla 24 ore del Nordschleife. In occasione dell’ADAC Ruhrpott- Trophy – una corsa da 4 ore presso lo storico circuito del Nordschleife – il pilota di Zurigo ha dunque chiuso sul gradino più basso del podio una corsa in rimonta e ben gestita. Marciello si è presentato al via insieme a ROWE Racing nella classe regina, la SP9 Pro, condividendo l’abitacolo della loro BMW M4 GT3 con Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn e Kelvin Van der Linde.

Dopo aver preso confidenza con il tracciato nel corso delle prove libere, l’equipaggio #98 di casa ROWE Racing ha affrontato le qualifiche, concludendo al nono posto assoluto. Al via della corsa, l’equipaggio di Marciello ha subito recuperato una posizione, mantenendo poi l’ottava piazza nel corso del primo segmento di gara. In seguito ai primi pit stop, l’equipaggio ha recuperato ulteriori posizioni, trovandosi poi in sesta piazza a metà gara. Dopo il valzer dei pit-stop a un’ora e 20 dal termine, la BMW di ROWE Racing ha continuato la sua rimonta, trovandosi al quarto posto a pochi secondi dal podio. La vettura numero #98 ha quindi iniziato una lotta serrata per la terza posizione, riuscendo a conquistarla nel corso dell’ultimo giro ai danni di una Porsche. Marciello ha così portato a casa un importante piazzamento sul podio, dimostrando grande dimestichezza con uno dei circuiti più complessi nel panorama mondiale delle corse – un ottimo risultato in vista della 24 ore del Nordschleife, in programma per il fine settimana del 20-22 giugno.
