A SUCCESS-FILLED 2025 FOR RAFFAELE MARCIELLO
The 2025 season once again delivered great satisfaction for Raffaele Marciello. The driver from Lugano, now among the most complete and competitive figures on the global GT racing scene, once again proved his worth throughout the year, achieving important results all around the world.
As in the previous season, Lello raced in BMW colors throughout the year, dividing his commitments between prototype and GT machinery. Marciello’s 2025 began in the United States with the 24 Hours of Daytona, the historic endurance race he tackled for the fourth time in his career—this time in the top class, at the wheel of the BMW M Hybrid V8 for BMW M Team RLL. A strong start saw him and his teammates secure pole position, before finishing fourth in the race, while also being the best-placed BMW at the finish.
Lello’s main Hypercar commitment of the season was the FIA World Endurance Championship, contested for the second consecutive year with BMW M Team WRT. A very solid start to the campaign saw him narrowly miss out on the podium in the opening round in Qatar, finishing fourth, before scoring points again in the following two six-hour races at Imola and Spa-Francorchamps. Unfortunately, his 24 Hours of Le Mans was compromised by a technical issue two hours from the end, forcing him to finish in seventeenth place. The second half of the season proved more challenging than the promising opening: the #15 crew was unable to return to the points in the remaining four races, ultimately finishing twentieth in the final championship standings.
However, Lello’s best results of 2025 came behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 Evom — a car he began to learn last year starting with the 12 Hours of Bathurst. It was at the Australian endurance classic that he secured his first podium of the season, thanks to a strong comeback drive that earned second place with BMW Team WRT. This race, valid as the opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, marked the beginning of his fight for the drivers’ title. The second event delivered the most important victory of the season: his first, iconic triumph at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring with ROWE Racing. A race historically regarded as the toughest in the world, it was managed to perfection, once again highlighting Lello as one of the very best GT drivers in global motorsport.
A solid fourth place at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and another superb victory — this time in the 1000km of Suzuka—were unfortunately not enough to secure the Intercontinental GT Challenge drivers’ title, with Marciello having to settle for second overall due to an unfavorable strategy at Indianapolis. A similar outcome followed in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, where he fought for the drivers’ title throughout the year. Victory at Nürburgring and third place in the season finale at Barcelona allowed him to finish fourth in the final standings, once again demonstrating his competitiveness. The Zurich born driver also enjoyed success in the Sprint series, racing at Misano, where he claimed an excellent victory in Race 1 at what was, geographically speaking, his home event.
Lello concluded his 2025 season once again at the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 Evo, at the 72nd edition of the Macau Grand Prix. In one of the toughest races of the year — an event he had already won in both 2019 and 2023 — Marciello further showcased his talent, fiercely defending second place to the finish. He was thus crowned FIA GT World Cup vice-world champion, an excellent way to close a season full of success and emotion.

UN 2025 RICCO DI SUCCESSI PER RAFFAELE MARCIELLO
La stagione 2025 ha ancora una volta regalato grandi soddisfazioni a Raffaele Marciello. Il pilota di Lugano , oramai tra i più completi e competitivi interpreti del panorama mondiale delle corse a ruote coperte, ha ancora una volta dimostrato tutto il suo valore nel corso dell’anno, conquistando importanti risultati in ogni angolo del mondo.
Come accaduto nell’annata precedente, Lello ha vestito i colori di BMW nel corso di questa stagione, suddivisa tra impegni al volante di prototipi e vetture di classe GT. Il 2025 di Marciello è iniziato negli Stati Uniti con la 24 Ore di Daytona, storica corsa di durata che il pilota di Zurigo ha affrontato per la quarta volta in carriera – questa volta però nella classe regina, al volante della BMW M Hybrid di BMW M Team RLL. Un avvio da protagonista lo ha visto conquistare insieme ai suoi compagni di squadra la pole position, dovendosi poi accontentare del quarto posto in gara, risultando nel mentre la migliore vettura del team bavarese al traguardo.
Il principale impegno stagionale di Lello al volante di una Hypercar è stato quello del FIA World Endurance Championship, affrontato per la seconda volta consecutiva con BMW M Team WRT. Un ottimo inizio di stagione lo ha visto sfiorare il podio nella gara inaugurale in Qatar, dove ha concluso quarto, prima di chiudere in zona punti anche le due successive corse da sei ore di Imola e Spa-Francorchamps. Sfortunatamente, la sua avventura alla 24 Ore di Le Mans è stata macchiata da un problema tecnico a due ore dal termine, che lo ha costretto a concludere in diciassettesima posizione. La seconda metà dell’anno si è poi rivelata più complicata rispetto al promettente inizio: l’equipaggio numero #15 non è infatti riuscito a tornare in zona punti nelle rimanenti quattro corse, concludendo dunque al ventesimo posto nella classifica finale.
I migliori risultati del 2025 di Lello sono tuttavia arrivati al volante della BMW M4 GT3 Evo – una vettura che ha imparato a conoscere lo scorso anno a partire dalla 12 ore di Bathurst. Proprio in occasione della corsa australiana di questa stagione è arrivato il suo primo podio del 2025, grazie a un ottima rimonta che lo ha portato fino al secondo posto finale con BMW Team WRT. Un evento, valevole per il primo round dell’Intercontinental GT Challenge, che ha segnato l’inizio della sua lotta al titolo piloti. Proprio nel secondo appuntamento è arrivata la vittoria più importante della stagione: il primo, iconico successo nella 24 Ore del Nürburgring con Rowe Racing. Una gara, storicamente riconosciuta come la più difficile al mondo, gestita alla perfezione, in cui Lello ha dimostrato ancora una volta di essere tra i migliori interpreti delle vetture gran turismo nel mondo delle corse. Un buon quarto posto nella 24 Ore di Spa-Francorchamps e un’altra splendida vittoria – questa volta nella 1000km di Suzuka – non sono stati tuttavia sufficienti per conquistare il titolo piloti nell’Intercontinental GT Challenge, e Marciello si è dunque dovuto accontentare del secondo posto finale a causa della strategia avversa a Indy. Simile epilogo anche nel GT World Challenge Europe dove, nella serie Endurance, ha lottato nel corso dell’anno per il titolo piloti; la vittoria al Nürburgring e il terzo posto nel round conclusivo di Barcellona gli hanno permesso di chiudere al quarto posto finale in classifica, dimostrando ancora una volta la sua grande competitività. Il pilota di Zurigo è riuscito anche a togliersi una bella soddisfazione nella serie Sprint, dove ha corso nell’appuntamento di Misano, centrando una splendida vittoria in occasione di gara-1 in quello che, per continuità territoriale, era il suo appuntamento di casa.
Lello ha poi concluso la stagione 2025 proprio al volante della BMW M4 GT3 Evo, in occasione dell’edizione numero 72 del Gran Premio di Macau. In una delle corse più difficili dell’anno, in cui aveva centrato il successo sia nel 2019 che nel 2023, Marciello ha ulteriormente dato prova del suo talento, difendendo con le unghie e con i denti la seconda posizione finale. Lello si è dunque laureato vice-campione del mondo nel FIA GT World Cup – un ottimo modo per concludere un’annata piena di successi ed emozioni.
