ANOTHER PODIUM LEAVES MARCIELLO AT ONLY -9 POINTS FROM THE TOP OF THE STANDINGS
Last weekend, Marciello travelled to Germany to join Team Landgraff and teammate Max Buhk at Laustizring. The duo, who sat in second place in the standings (-7 from the top), made it clear right from Thursday’s and Friday’s private and free sessions that they intend to challenge for the title.
On Saturday, Marciello drove in the first qualifying session: despite the traffic slowing him down, he managed to place the Mercedes AMG GT3 no. 70 fourth on the grid. In the race that followed, Raffaele showed grit in defending the position during the hectic beginning phases, but couldn’t achieve the necessary race pace to attack the third spot. He finished his 30 minutes stint in fourth and passed the wheel to Buhk. The German, after a long break caused by a red flag, finished the race in the same position.
On Sunday morning, Buhk finished fifth in qualifying. Sprinting from third row, he slipped through the packed track without colliding with other cars and jumped up to third. Raffaele kept the position in his stint and secured a spot on the podium – an important result which keeps the duo at 9 points from the leaders with 3 races to go in the championship.
Marciello will be back on the track on September 25-25 in Valencia, for the last race of the GT World Challenge Sprint championship.

ALTRO PODIO E PUNTI IMPORTANTI PER MARCIELLO IN OTTICA CAMPIONATO: ORA A -9 DELLA VETTA
Altro weekend di corse per Raffaele Marciello che é stato impegnato presso il tracciato del Laustizring nel campionato Adac GT Masters. Alla vigilia dell’appuntamento Tedesco, la coppia giallo verde Mann-Filter costituita da Marciello-Buhk si é presentata in pista in seconda posizione nel campionato piloti, con tutti i presupposti per dare il massimo e colmare il gap di sette punti con la testa della classifica. La Mercedes-AMG numero 70 del Team Landgraff é scesa in pista nelle giornate di Giovedì e Venerdì, rispettivamente giornate di test privati e prove libere, piazzandosi sempre nella parte alta della classifica.
Sabato mattina la giornata ha preso il via con la prima sessione di qualificazione, valevole per la prima gara, guidata da Marciello. Il Ticinese, rallentato dal traffico durante il primo giro ottimale, ha chiuso in quarta posizione, comunque ottima piazza di partenza in previsione della gara del pomeriggio. In gara, Raffaele con grinta é riuscito a mantenere la quarta posizione nelle concitate fasi di partenza, pagando però unpasso gara non ottimale che non gli ha permesso di attaccare per la terza piazza. A mezz’ora dal termine ha dato il volante a Buhk che, dopo una lunga interruzione causata da una bandiera rossa, ha terminato la corsa in quarta posizione.
Domenica mattina, in qualifica, il Tedesco Maximilian Buhk si é posizionato in quinta piazza.
Nella gara del pomeriggio Buhk, partito dalla terza fila é riuscito a districarsi tra un sandwich di vetture, riuscendo a portarsi in terza posizione senza apportare danni alla Mercedes AMG GT3 numero 70 del Team Landgraff. A mezz’ora dal termine, la guida é passata a Marciello che ha portato a casa il terzo posto in classifica, guadagnando punti importanti in ottica campionato portando lo svantaggio dalla testa a nove punti con tre weekend di gara ancora da disputare.
Giunti al termine di questo appuntamento, Marciello tornerà in pista il weekend del 25-26 Settembre per l’ultima gara del campionato Sprint del GT World Challenge presso il tracciato di Valencia.
